The River July 10'

Every year my family spends 1-2 weeks vacationing at a family cabin in Island Park, Idaho. It is beautiful. I have the best memories there anywhere from catching tadpoles with McCall & Emily, building forts down the hill, riding the 'moose' with my Grandpa (and fearing for my life), waking up and looking for Grandpa's boat which has long been gone while he fishes, helping him clean the fish, eating fish grilled by the one and only Grandpa, many - a - walks around the loop, many - a - motor boat rides up the river, watching my Grandpa cruise up the river (seriously flying), trying to go upriver with the paddle boats - anyone ever used these? They are not as easy as they look! :), trips to Yellowstone, watching Old Faithful under a full moon, Shopping in West Yellowstone, collecting rocks & jewels, finding treasures at the dollar store, watching plays at the Playmill, scooter rides in the back woods, seeing moose (meesin) & bear, floating the river, rope swing, the fish singing 'Don't worry, be happy', snipe hunts, fishing with Grandpa, roasting marshmallows over the fire - Grandpa always made the perfect ones, watching the men chop trees, etc. etc. Sigh... I could keep going with 25 years worth of memories! Thank you Grandpa for giving us the gift of a beautiful place to stay and create family memories. Mine will always include you. I love you and still think about you all the time!

I love our little family :) We went on a little boat ride together.

Leah with Belle & Danielle with Gaston! He was AWSOME, if he does say so himself. ;)

The faces on all these are pretty funny. Laylah and Hannah had on matching jammies, perfect time for a photo shoot! (Laylah did not agree)

Christian found a new love - fishing, and Isaac found a new friend to take him.
Note to self: Just because it looks like flour doesn't mean it is... it might just be pancake mix!

Note to self #2: Don't do the can can while driving a scooter...

Is it bigfoot, shoeless Joe Crocket, or some homeless guy?
Some of my family was training for a half marathon and Kyle decided, Hey running sounds fun but I don't have any shoes... of course he wouldn't let something like that stop him!
Note to self #3: Remember your running shoes.

Cutest kids ever.

The new rope swing! This was a blast. Even the kids gave it a try. There are more pics and videos of this somewhere...

Craig did an awesome back flip :)
