Kamalu Family Christmas Party

Every year we get together with Kyle's mom's family for a Christmas Party. It is always a lot of fun. We always do a gift exchange - which for years has included a pair of HUGE underwear - well two pairs actually. If you open it, you have to bring it back wrapped next year. This year, Kyle & his cousin Ben (sitting next to him) happened to each pick the underwear! Unfortunately my camera wouldn't take the picture I was trying to get. So this is all I have, still entertaining. :)

We did a gift exchange with the little ones separately. Here are the little cousins.

A little surprise

The other day I went to a relief society activity. I got a text asking when I would be home. I told Kyle I was on my way. I got home & the lights were off and there was a huge fort in the living room. I could hear a little boy giggling with his Dad telling him, "Shhhh." I climbed in and they had it all set up with pillows and blankets. It was so fun & Kalel loved it. We kept it up for a few days until we started missing our chairs.

Gingerbread Houses

Every year Kyle's family decorates gingerbread houses. This year I went to the farm a couple of days before and learned how to make gingerbread and cut out the houses so that everything would be ready when we all came to decorate. It was a lot more time consuming & involved then I knew. But it was worth it. I love decorating. This year Kyle & I made a 'farm house' complete with a silo, well & animals. Kyle helped Kalel make a 'grinch house'. His was bright green.

Random Pictures

Recently Kalel had a little accident and his Grandma found Kaia's leggings with lace and put them on him while his pants were cleaned. I could not stop laughing every time I looked at him. :)

Kalel likes to "exercise" with me. Which means he attempts to do the yoga moves or just tries to climb on me.

He is quite the little lover. He has a baby who he takes care of. He loves my baby and tells me everyday as he hugs my belly, "I love my baby sister," in a really sweet voice. He likes to take his baby to the bathroom (he even wipes her), puts the baby down for naps and makes sure she's covered etc. My only worry is he will be too helpful with this new baby. But I am very excited to see his reaction. He Loves babies!

He also likes to help his Dad rake leaves. I pulled out the blower & let Kalel have a turn. It was great, he would follow Kyle around and blow the leaves Kyle was raking. :) Very productive. And of course we made a big pile to jump in.

Family Pictures

The Roberts family (minus Kevin)

The siblings - including Kevin who is on a mission. :)

Halloween 2009

We celebrated Halloween in California this year. Kalel was of course... Superman! He and his cousin Tate were matching. They went trick - or - treating around the hotel & to the mall. Kalel figured out real fast how it all worked. It was a lot of fun.

Kanani gets props for the best costume!

After trick-or-treating Malia planned a dance party in our room. Complete with glow-sticks, a black light & music! We all had fun dancing, including the little kids jumping around with their glow sticks. :)

Californ - I - A

We were able to go to California with the Roberts' family this year. We went at the end of October (after all the harvesting had been done). We had a great time. I have a million pictures so... here are a lot of collages showing some of the fun we had. :)

We had matching neon shirts - which we all wore when we went to big public places. It was actually really nice to be able to find people in crowds. :)

For those of you who haven't been to Legoland - they build AMAZING things all out of legos! These are just a few of the buildings. They had all the major Las Vegas buildings and Washington D.C. One of the pictures shows Pres. Obama's inauguration. Isaac these pictures are for you!

The swimming pool was awesome. If you click on this picture you can see most of us jumping into the pool. We were a little off, but still some great pics.

Fun with cousins.

Beautiful beach. Kyle & I came here on our honeymoon. And stayed at the same hotel & went to the same beach! It was really fun to go back. This time with a little one & another on the way!

We were also able to go to San Diego's Wild Animal Park. It was so cool. LOTS of walking for a pregnant woman but it was really fun to see all the exotic animals. My favorite were the giraffes and elephants (especially the baby ones).

Possible the funniest & cutest videos you will see...

Just watch & laugh... I have guesses on how this happened but still not quite sure.
P.S. I did wash his hands immediately. :)

This melts my heart. He is singing 'I am a child of God'.

Choo Choo Train

There is an old train near our house. Kalel always points it out to me, so I thought we would stop and see it. A perfect time for a little photo shoot. This little one LOVES trains and was thrilled and just a little bummed because he couldn't drive it. :) He is such a cute little boy.

Hee Haw Farm

We went to Hew Haw Farms in October. We took my niece Macie & my friend Angela came with her kids. It was a blast. Kalel & Macie were very tired by the end of the day. They both fell asleep on the way home. (Kalel even rubbed Macie's head while she laid down. :)

Beautiful Fall

We love the beautiful fall weather! We went for a drive up the canyon to see the incredible colors. This tree looked like it was on fire!

Leilani took the kids for a ride in the wagon. They loved it. They have so much fun together and love their auntie Lani. :)
Busted... Jason & Kalel were missing and too quiet. I found them in the laundry room, sharing a stool & eating apples. So cute.

From long to short...

My hair was driving me crazy. I went too long before getting it cut and decided to chop it! Here are some before (I don't usually look like that, it was air / wind dried etc. but you get the idea) and after. Yes that is all my hair on the floor, gross. I am just blessed with thick hair! And it gets even thicker while pregnant.

My fears of being a mother of a boy!

I have always been nervous I would have a boy who is fearless & is always doing things that scare me. Go figure I have a son just like my husband :)

What happens when you drive your car down this?
The tire will stop when it hits the drain, and you will fly face first into the cement wall. :(
And end up with a fat lip, bloody nose etc. He is tough and right now as he is looking at this telling me - woah Blood! Thank goodness for a mother-in-law who makes the best herbal remedies. He healed quickly.

Our New House

After we finished our adventures this summer living across the country, we decided to move back to Utah county. We were blessed to find an amazing deal to rent a home in Spanish Fork. We love it here! And the best part is our huge yard! Kalel is in and out all day long. Which is also wonderful for me. :) I really enjoy living in SF. It is still pretty small - which I like, it's only 5 min from Kyle's family & not too far from my family.

Kalel's shorts were wet (that's what happens when you get in the pool with them on...) so he took them off and played in the sand. He had a long bath!
Playing in the pool, with the neighbor and their trains.
My first purchase for the yard... a pool!
