Nash Vegas

Over Memorial Day weekend I was lucky enough to meet up with my Mom and sisters in Nashville TN. It was the first time we all went out to visit my brother! We of course had a BLAST....
Highlights- A whole lotta food, I laughed until I cried, peed, etc ;) , we stayed up way too late, they slept in (but my little one wasn't real interested in that!), we went boating, swimming in the lake, 'cliff' jumping, shopping, frog hunting, were surrounded by cadydids and enjoyed the company of my brother and nephew.... Just to name a few! Thank you to all who made this possible! It was just what I needed.

The last day was perfect, we woke up - packed- put on our swim suits - went boating / swimming - went back and changed my clothes - got in the car and drove to the airport!
I still laugh when I think about this!

Hanging out with Uncle Mikie, oh how we wished you were closer!

Thank you to my fabulous family who I miss terribly! Only 1 more month :)

Even though I spent hours on end in the airport - practically alone - it was all worth it!

Being Creative ....

Well we have been living in a hotel for 6 weeks now! Let me start by saying it hasn't been as bad as I expected... But we definitely have to be creative with what we do with ourselves.

This is my life....

Our new front door :) And yes Kalel is always doing some kind of a pose...
Our daily elevator ride. They each have their own buttons they get to push, and they like to JUMP!
My kids are total water babies. We are at the pool every other day. We put floaties on Laylah last month and she swims like a champ :)

When we first moved here it wasn't too hot yet... So we were able to go on walks...

And feed the ducks at the park...

Now that it's staring to feel like a death trap :) My kids and myself can't really handle it. Their cheeks get bright red and they whine. So we have become creative....

These are train tracks, in case you were wondering. And a plus is that with pillows on the ground it's not as loud when he runs :)
Who else has kids who love veggies? Kalel would always eat anything green first. Something I never thought I'd say was "Kalel you have to eat more dinner before you can have more spinach" Seriously though! For a snack yesterday he fixed himself two bowls of salad.
Now we have another one. Here she is with broccoli and cauliflower. Even though her all time favorite food is avocados!
Another interesting thing is that we only have two chairs. So Laylah has been standing on the cooler to eat. It is actually working for now!
Oh the Box.... This little girl LOVES this box! She pulls it out from under the table to -

Read
Eat - Here she is with a bowl of cereal (luckily no milk) that she snuck.
Snacking again.
She pretty much just picks where she wants to sit and pulls herself up there!

We are surviving here in Texas, but miss our families terribly!

Swimming days have begun!

Our summer days are filled with sunscreen, floaties, swimsuits and water! Good thing I have two water babies. They both have LOVED water from day 1.
Getting ready for the first swim of the season.
I couldn't help but take a million pictures of this cute little swimmer :)

Everyone says she looks just like Kalel or just like me, what do you think?
