Guess What???

Ok, so everyone already knows but I thought I should put something up since all my pictures show that I suddenly gained 25 pounds!

We found out in May that we are expecting our 3rd munchkin. We are very excited, and yes it was planned. I wanted to document the belly part of this pregnancy because I find it comical. I am the type who is not concerned with the weight gain. I just think that is exactly what is supposed to be happening and as long as I'm not binging on junk it's fine! I have gained 50 pounds with both of my other pregnancies. I know I gain fast but I forgot how fast... To give you all an idea this was me about 2-3 weeks before I found out.

This was me within a week of finding out. About 5 weeks.
 5 1/2 weeks?
6 weeks - my belly would grow significantly throughout the day. In the morning it wasn't too big, but by the evening it was very noticeable. I always have had strangers ask me when I'm due early on in my pregnancy. I think it was around 7 weeks when it started happening this time.
10 weeks. This was the earliest I had woken up in 10 weeks. And I did pretty good! Usually I didn't get out of bed until around 9, because I would get so sick. But if I waited, it was ok. So my kids climbed in bed with me and watched Magic School Bus on the iPad.
11 weeks - at Disneyland! It went great, I needed a couple of extra snacks but other than that! Oh except now I can share a funny story. So, if you read my DL post you will know that our phones both died and we were borrowing phones and had to race across the whole park to meet up with someone... well after the walking really fast for an extended period of time, I was not doing very well. I was kind of cramping. So Kyle kicked the kids out of the stroller and I got in. It was a nice rest and I felt so much better. Both of the kids wanted to hold my hands while I was in there. I'm sure it was quite a sight to behold. People were laughing as they passed us. Good times.

 12 weeks

 13 - 14 weeks
 16 1/2 weeks

When I found out I was pregnant I wanted to tell Kyle in a fun way. However I didn't have time to go to the store, and I can't keep it in... well even for a short period of time so I just ended up throwing in a line like "and we are grateful for the baby in Mom's belly" during a prayer. It was funny to see his face.

I gained 10 pounds that week... seriously... then another 5 the next week! So by the time I was 5 1/2 weeks pregnant I had gained 15 pounds.

You know how a lot of people wait until they are 12 weeks along to share the news? My family is already asking or wondering by 5 1/2 weeks. Kyle's sister Malia asked in a joking but little serious way and apparently they could all tell by our faces. So they all knew, and were all asking eachother secretly anyway because they were wondering why I suddenly had a belly. I hadn't seen my family in a week and a half, it's funny but that's all the time it takes me to gain 15 pounds. So we told my parents when I was 6 weeks.

I was definitely sick, and so incredibly tired. My kids were awesome. They would just let me lay around while they watched movies or entertained themselves. I think it's interesting how all of our 'doing our best' can change on a daily basis. Sometimes I cook from scratch for every meal, and sometimes we eat cereal for breakfast. Sometimes my kids don't watch a movie for days, and sometimes they watch 3. We just do what we can do! Well I tried a couple of 'witch doctor' things and was able to get over my morning sickness around 8? weeks! I usually have it until 13 weeks. Then I had issues with my stomach ulcer (which comes back with every pregnancy) I was able to take care of that and was shocked / amazing / so grateful for the natural things I have access to. It was gone within a day of trying something new. Then I was having major problems with my hypoglycemia and a really high heart rate. I was able to get those taken care of and have been doing great ever since! Well I'm still tired, but I am pregnant with two kids!

This pregnancy has flown by. I've been blessed to be so busy and not so miserable. Kyle is (as always) really good at taking care of me. We are so blessed and so excited! I'll wait to reveal the gender until I get caught up to that time!

The River - part 1

July 27th - August 3rd

PICTURE OVERLOAD

Going through all of these pictures has made me a bit sad... I want to go back!

Every year of my life I have been able to go to this cabin in Island Park, ID. The memories are never ending. Building forts, secret hideouts, moose, boat rides, dune buggy, floats, smores, family and so much more! It has been so much fun to be able to share and create new memories with my kids!! I would have to say that this trip has been one of my all time favorites.

We spent some time at the dock by the river. The crazy kids got in... not me it's freezing.
I just loved watching these two kick and splash together.

 Seriously, too cute.
Look Mom, a tad pole! It was actually something... that was dead but oh well.
Little cutie hiking up to the cabin.

 Love the bum.

A serious highlight of the trip was when the men (except Grandpa Don) and the older boys were gone a a 4-wheeling expedition we had a moose encounter. Meaning it was eventually 10 feet from me. It was awesome. His rear end was my height. It just walked over to the bushes and started stripping them of leaves and eating. As it was walking away we had a bit of a scare. My sister's dogs were tied up and started barking at it. Well the moose took interest and was walking right to them and could have stomped right on them. My Dad got a big log and threw it at the moose while kind of yelling. It didn't even phase it.. he did it again and the moose ran away. It was crazy and pretty cool. The kids all thought Grandpa was a hero!

I really watched the moose walk right in front of this sign! Which is right off our porch.

Ha ha, poor uncle Jeff should not fall asleep around a bunch of girls with nail polish... now he has pretty purple nails!

One of my favorite parts of the vaca is always going to the Playmill theater to see a play!
Kyle showing off his big muscles. Actually I taught him how to do that... no really though. Unfortunately I'm a little bigger than normal and can't pull it off currently.

As always these two get sung to at the Playmill theatre. Since we were on the front two rows they made it right up on stage. Jeff even had some leftover lipstick on his face.
This girl is so funny. We spotted her by herself in her pink polka dot swimsuit, flip flops, pink purse, ring pop trying to drive the 4 wheeler.
Happy 40th Jeff! His kind wife wrapped all the presents in BLACK
Fun times, Craig ironed Leah's dress.... while she was still wearing it, Liam loved cuddling with Laylah, Laylah got her nails painted, and all the kids got spoiled with Hornet rides to the gas station to pick out treats.

Livin it up on the Hornet.
This was an especially fun night. Grandma & Grandpa watched the kids so that the married couples could go for a 4-wheeler ride to the top of Sawtell Peak.
 It was GORGEOUS.

We even got to watch the sun set.

I love my family. We have so much fun together. And yes I was freezing. It was the perfect date night with the love of my life.
Sigh, who wants to go back now!?

Fun times with cousins

 - July 2012 -

We were lucky because my cute nephew Liam got to come visit us here in Utah for a couple of weeks! We sure packed in a lot of cousin time since we only see him 1-2 times a year.

We spent an hour or so walking around South Town Expo center to view the floats before the 24th of July. There were some amazing floats! It was really fun to see all the creativity. Laylah loved Liam and he was always so cute with her. The little girls liked meeting the princesses too. The bottom right picture are all of my Mom's 10 grandkids.

After the floats we headed up to the Mt. Aire cabin. I spotted the kids out of the window taking off their shirts and laying in the creek. It was so funny. Lily instigated this one. We spent the night. And that next morning Grandpa Don drove up and gave all the kids 4-wheeler rides. They loved it! And Laylah somehow talked him into at least one extra ride, it could've been two though.

We also spent some time at Jump On It. As always the kids love it here!

One day when we were at Corinne's house waiting for them to come back from a reception we took advantage of the beautiful evening and played on the tramp! Anyone remember playing 'crack the egg'? It was so funny to watch and remember playing it oh so long ago.

Kalel apparently know how to do a flip. This kid is always surprising me. Like when he said, "watch Mom!" and then did a flip into the swimming pool. I have no idea where he learned it!

Kyle jumped in on the action.

Kalel trying to be like Dad.

I loved watching him just have fun!

I love this shot of Laylah. She is so girly in her dress, shoes (which of course belong to her cousin... still very much a shoe thief) and pink bike.

Seriously? Sadly it really could have been any of them... Kyle says he didn't put his socks in my kitchen aid but... he does get busy and do things without realizing it. :)

This little girl is OBSESSED with helping me cook. She really sits by me on the counter around 80% of the time I'm cooking. It's kind of nice to have a little one (who behaves well) to chat with while cooking.

Our zucchini started to grow! Mmmm, love it.

I found Laylah literally asleep while standing by her bed. So funny.

We had some of the neighbors join us on our fun project of making 'elephant toothpaste'
The kid loved it. We made it several times using different colors. We love doing projects.

This picture of Laylah makes me smile. She is so much fun.

We went to Salem Days to watch the fireworks. Honestly one of, if not the best firework show I've ever been to. So close, so long and fireworks I hadn't ever seen before. I love living in South Utah County. It's still small enough to have fun celebrations and not have traffic :)

It has been hot in their bedroom this summer so she usually strips down.

When our plants started producing, they really started producing!

My sleeping princess. I love this shot. She fell asleep on her way home from the store.

When I came around to get her out and saw this. Little drool coming out of her mouth.

After our JAM PACKED JULY we finished it off by going to Idaho with my family. Which will have to be another post, another day.
