We found out in May that we are expecting our 3rd munchkin. We are very excited, and yes it was planned. I wanted to document the belly part of this pregnancy because I find it comical. I am the type who is not concerned with the weight gain. I just think that is exactly what is supposed to be happening and as long as I'm not binging on junk it's fine! I have gained 50 pounds with both of my other pregnancies. I know I gain fast but I forgot how fast... To give you all an idea this was me about 2-3 weeks before I found out.
This was me within a week of finding out. About 5 weeks.
5 1/2 weeks?
6 weeks - my belly would grow significantly throughout the day. In the morning it wasn't too big, but by the evening it was very noticeable. I always have had strangers ask me when I'm due early on in my pregnancy. I think it was around 7 weeks when it started happening this time.
10 weeks. This was the earliest I had woken up in 10 weeks. And I did pretty good! Usually I didn't get out of bed until around 9, because I would get so sick. But if I waited, it was ok. So my kids climbed in bed with me and watched Magic School Bus on the iPad.
11 weeks - at Disneyland! It went great, I needed a couple of extra snacks but other than that! Oh except now I can share a funny story. So, if you read my DL post you will know that our phones both died and we were borrowing phones and had to race across the whole park to meet up with someone... well after the walking really fast for an extended period of time, I was not doing very well. I was kind of cramping. So Kyle kicked the kids out of the stroller and I got in. It was a nice rest and I felt so much better. Both of the kids wanted to hold my hands while I was in there. I'm sure it was quite a sight to behold. People were laughing as they passed us. Good times.
12 weeks
16 1/2 weeks
When I found out I was pregnant I wanted to tell Kyle in a fun way. However I didn't have time to go to the store, and I can't keep it in... well even for a short period of time so I just ended up throwing in a line like "and we are grateful for the baby in Mom's belly" during a prayer. It was funny to see his face.
I gained 10 pounds that week... seriously... then another 5 the next week! So by the time I was 5 1/2 weeks pregnant I had gained 15 pounds.
You know how a lot of people wait until they are 12 weeks along to share the news? My family is already asking or wondering by 5 1/2 weeks. Kyle's sister Malia asked in a joking but little serious way and apparently they could all tell by our faces. So they all knew, and were all asking eachother secretly anyway because they were wondering why I suddenly had a belly. I hadn't seen my family in a week and a half, it's funny but that's all the time it takes me to gain 15 pounds. So we told my parents when I was 6 weeks.
I was definitely sick, and so incredibly tired. My kids were awesome. They would just let me lay around while they watched movies or entertained themselves. I think it's interesting how all of our 'doing our best' can change on a daily basis. Sometimes I cook from scratch for every meal, and sometimes we eat cereal for breakfast. Sometimes my kids don't watch a movie for days, and sometimes they watch 3. We just do what we can do! Well I tried a couple of 'witch doctor' things and was able to get over my morning sickness around 8? weeks! I usually have it until 13 weeks. Then I had issues with my stomach ulcer (which comes back with every pregnancy) I was able to take care of that and was shocked / amazing / so grateful for the natural things I have access to. It was gone within a day of trying something new. Then I was having major problems with my hypoglycemia and a really high heart rate. I was able to get those taken care of and have been doing great ever since! Well I'm still tired, but I am pregnant with two kids!
This pregnancy has flown by. I've been blessed to be so busy and not so miserable. Kyle is (as always) really good at taking care of me. We are so blessed and so excited! I'll wait to reveal the gender until I get caught up to that time!
