Wright Family Reunion

This is the second time I can remember having a Wright family reunion. Unlike the Richards where we have 2-3 a summer. I believe we had everyone but my cousin John here. Most everyone stayed at our cabin just up Parley's canyon. We laughed, sang, shared stories, played kazoos etc. It was a success! I loved seeing all my cousins!

4th of July

Our 4th of July started with the parade. There was a wonderful lady who painted the kids faces. She did a great job too! Of course Kalel wanted to be Superman. We spent some time on the bouce houses etc. We then went home to take a nap. :) Later we packed up the kids again and headed to the farm for games, dinner and fireworks. The night before we had the annual Kamalu family luau. Complete with lots of food, family, entertainment & fireworks. We had a blast!

Kalel: I love your HUGE personality. You are so LOVING. It helps me when I want to lock you outside... You are incredibly INTENSE. Sometimes you finish talking and you have to sit and breath to calm down. You always say THANK YOU. You are madly IN LOVE with your sister. She thinks you are pretty FUNNY, which you are, most of the time. You HELP me with some chores like, emptying the dish washer, vacuuming, mopping, throwing diapers away, putting away clean laundry etc.

Things I hear EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE:
Everyday of my life ____, I want to go to PAPA TUTU's, I love my sister, growling (aka dinosaur noises), Mom - please I have fruit snacks?, I don't wanna take a nap, So - how was your day Mom?

I love my little boy!

Sun Goddess

Swimming

One of our first family outings after Kyle got back was SWIMMING!

My thrill seeker of a son and I went down this slide probably 10 times.

Sun bathing little beauty.

Welcome HOME!! June 28th 2010

The much anticipated day has finally arrived... Kyle is home!!! We missed our Daddy (especially when a little someone was in trouble. He ALWAYS called for Kyle... as if he would have saved him...)

Kalel missed his wrestling, tickling, teasing, reading, playing, basketball team mate of a Dad.

We had endless conversations about getting on an airplane to go to Daddy's apartment and go swimming. Every night the conversation started something like this, "Dad, where are you?" "At my apartment" "Still?" Daily he would tell me, "I miss my Dad"

It was hard to be apart but everything went well. It was worth it financially but we definitely won't be doing this again. He will mostly be recruiting and training with a little selling on the side to keep his skills sharp.

Kalel made him this poster. He was of course in his Superman outfit to greet the big Superman.
"Daddy, you came back to me!"

Lots of smiles and lovin. I asked him if Laylah was a lot bigger, he said, "I don't know but she is really cute!"

Dear Kyle:

2 months is WAY too long to be apart. Never again. I don't think I could have missed you more. But I also love you more than I ever have. We do much better together. I love our little family. I am blessed that you are mine! Thank you for all of your hard work. We love you!

Love, your wifey who is trying to wait patiently :)

Tired girl

Bath time = sleepy time. I got her dressed and left her here while I turned around to help Kalel, by the time I turned back around she was out. :) Love my girl.

We love our yard!!

I made Kalel a little bag for his goodies. We decided to have a mini photo shoot in our backyard.
And... I CUT MY HAIR! I've never had it this short before. I love it. Kanani @ David Douglas Salon in Provo did it. She is fabulous!

Oh, she is pretty. :) And I made her dress and bow.

Beach time in NC

I was counting down the days until I was able to go spend some time with my hunny in North Carolina on the beach! We had a fabulous time. (Minus the wicked sunburn I received) :( Oh and I lost my luggage on the way there... But I practiced my positive thinking and didn't let it ruin my vacation! I picked up a swim suit at wal-mart and then a cover-up because I quickly found out they don't sell the same things outside of Utah. :)

We missed our Kalel but had a great time!
