Texas

We made it. 26 hours later. Sigh. Thanks goodness for our new van. Wow, Texas is really big! Even after we were in Texas... we still had to drive all day! We were in Tyler for a few days and then were moved to a different area.

I was getting ready to go to the zoo, apparently Laylah was done waiting for me. She laid down on the floor & Kalel put a blanket on her. Cute little bug. This is the 2nd time she has ever done this. The first being when she fell asleep on the couch the week before. She has been a trooper.

While we were still in Tyler we went to the zoo. The kids both LOVED the zoo. I actually quite enjoyed it myself! The white tigers were beautiful! The anteaters were crazy looking & the penguins were fun to watch. :)
This was what I saw the whole trip. Laylah's cute little finger pointing at each animal she saw. So stinkin' cute!
I was quite amazed. I thought I would just put her in the petting zoo to see how long until she would cry. But instead she just said 'HI!" about 25 times and walked over to see them. She is yummy :)
I think they like eachother :)
Kalel was really excited to see an alligator, bears, tigers, leopards etc. He had a blast. We were all very tired and ready to lay down. Trip to the zoo = success.

Thus far we have had BEAUTIFUL weather here. Sorry for all the rain in Utah! I've already been sunburned twice, swimming several times (once indoors to protect our burns) been to the park a few times etc. We are living it up until we are hit with some serious humidity. We are really missing "our family" as Kalel says. Thank goodness for skype!

Moving to TEXAS

Well we did it. We packed up our house and moved to Texas! Just for the summer that is. It was a crazy busy April. We celebrated Kalel's birthday, had family parties, Easter, millions of headbands, welcomed home Kyle's sister Leilani & Tyler, & Kevin, bought a van (yes I now drive a mini van... and I LOVE it!) oh and packed up and moved!

This is how I felt about it all. She had about enough of waiting for us to finish up this load and since her bed was already packed up she just crashed here. :)
Laylah had fun crawling through, around getting in, emptying etc.

Welcome Home MO!

We were able to welcome home Kyle's brother Kevin after serving a 2-year mission in France / Switzerland. Welcome home 'Mo' you have been missed :)

Random goofy pictures

I love being able to catch funny/goofy moments on camera. Here are a few I've captured lately.

I just missed when he had the sunglasses part flipped up.
I know I already posted this, but it is one of my favs. His big body crammed into this little sink, all because he desperately wanted to take a bath!
One of the goofiest pictures I've ever seen!
He colored on himself like his cousin Jay... So I helped finish the job. "I'm too sexy for my shirt" I actually took this picture for aunt Dan Dan.
She really wants to be able to sleep in his bed :)
Just playing in the cooler, or what was a cooler.

I guess all calls will have to wait til' morning.

Cards, Crafts, Decorations & Random Pictures

For a little Easter decorations I went to one of my favorite blogs (MADE) However... I'm not sure where my 'after' pictures went :(
One afternoon Kalel and I dyed a few cups of rice. They colors were all so pretty! (except for the orange.. I didn't love it)
Kalel thought it was a blast.
One of his favorite things to do is make cards. We do this at least weekly. He picks who he wants to make a card for. On these he used stensils, stickers & other embellishments.
He tells me what he want me to write and I write whatever he tells me. Sometimes they are funnier than others... like these! Click on them to see up close. Then we put them in the mail and surprise one of our cute family members :)
Ha ha, "Watch movies all the time, if you want" I love this little guy, he is always making me laugh.

I'll admit it.. I'm so proud of myself!

I was able to make this! With the help of my cousin (Chris) who directed me to a great web-site!

Since I already did a long post about Kalel turning 4, here are the pictures from the special occasion!

I was planning on keeping it fairly low-keyed or at least not expensive. :) It all started out being at our friend's Morgan & Heidi's house. The night before Heidi had this great idea to blow up a bunch of balloons to be in the room when he woke up. Great idea, just a little late! I don't remember what time we got to bed. That afternoon we made 'dirt cake.' Mud (chocolate pudding) Dirt (crushed oreos) bugs (gummies) on top of a chocolate cake. The kids had a blast with those. Kalel kept saying "ew, I don't like dirt!" but he would keep eating it. We ended up going out to dinner since Kyle pulled into town around dinner time after being gone for a week. We went to Pirate Pizza with the Taylors. The next day was Sunday dinner at the Roberts. We celebrated him at Kyle's parents house along with Michael & Ellie who have birthdays close to his. It was fun, and his TuTus gave him some great gifts. Before all of this... I had a party planned just with my family, because we love excuses to get together :) Then he got sick the morning before. I was really bummed because this was getting close to being the last 'available' day for us before we moved. Luckily it was a 24 hour thing. So we re-scheduled and had all make it but Danielle. The one big thing that he has been asking for since before Christmas was a big Buzz Lightyear. "Not a little one Mom, because I'm big!" I decided if he still wanted it by his birthday we would do it. Luckily my parents decided to do it for him. Since we were just hanging out on his birthday and he wasn't sick, we pulled out his remote control 4-wheeler. When he uncovered it he said very innocently and nicely, "But I wanted a Buzz?!" Ha ha ha. Right, he ended up loving this once his Dad showed him how it worked. :) Kalel had been requesting a 'Toothless the Dragon' birthday cake. My wonderful cousin (Chris) who is an chef. (Seriously if you're looking for someone to do a wedding cake... his are amazing!) Anyway, he gave me a link to follow to create a dragon cake... I think it turned out good! It is the 2nd time I've ever tried something like this. It was a huge hit. Because of food coloring, it ended up being a blue dragon- Kalel was thrilled! Ahhh, success. :) He pretty much got spoiled! I probably had as much fun as him though!

Goofiest smile ever!

Hopefully I'll have internet to update some more next week!
