Boating

There are few things better than a day on the lake with loved ones.

The Rickenbachs' bought into a membership that gives them access to a boat. We headed out for a beautiful day on the lake.
Laylah and Uncle Craig

Kalel and Logan got out on a tube together and then I took a pic of my hottie on the right.
The best was when Laylah was convinced she only wanted to go on a tube with Grandpa Don. I told him he didn't have to if he didn't want to, but he's definitely a sucker for that girl. He got out there, all 78? years of him.
Let the games begin! Kyle vs Jeff = tube jumping, flipping, flying - highly entertaining, unless you're Sara ;)
 Peace out Mom!

Aunt Rinny sure loves my babies. Dash fell asleep on the boat just like all my other kids have done.

September continued

My beautiful friend and once bridesmaid Courtney got married. It was fun to go congratulate her!

Fun times at the park and playing on the hay at the farm.

Once again, I don't know what is wrong with his bowels but another explosion...
Hence, we have to have lots of bath times, and sometimes the big kids join in. Dash also discovered the toilet paper..
Preserving strawberries. Jam, dehydrated, fruit leather, frozen sliced and whole.
This boy sure loves his baby brother.
 First time eating spinach.
A first for both of us! His first tooth to fall out, he's pretty excited about it :)

Dash loves to climb in his toy box and play. Silly boy!
 Friday nights under the lights.

Laylah has figured out how to make ponytails and loves to practice on me.

The neighbor has a couple of bikes like this and the kids get to ride on them sometimes. They feel pretty cool.

Family 4-wheeling trip

We decided to go on a family adventure with baby Dash. We went up tower mountain with Glen & Michelle's 4-wheelers. At first it was miserable because one of the 4-wheelers kept dying every couple hundred feet. We finally got that figured out, it was as easy as the flip of a switch. I'm not going to lie, I had a little bit of anxiety at times. There are a few parts on the dirt trail where there are some serious drop offs...

It took quite awhile to get up there but wow, talk about gorgeous scenery!

We enjoyed eating our lunch on the helicopter pad up there.

Super Dad had the baby strapped on and Kalel on the back. Laylah rode with me :)
Gorgeous TALL aspens.
Laylah fell asleep on the way down.

We had a really crazy rain storm! I've never seen this much rain in Utah before. So we of course played in it. I took a video of Kyle and the kids and then I got some toy boats so we could race them down the gutter. Fun fun memories.
Time to make canned salsa. It's always a lot of work but it lasts for so long and it's so fun to use all the stuff from the garden! I did however burn my fingers pretty bad from cutting the peppers without gloves.. never again!
This face. I love the back of his perfectly round blonde head. He loves climbing in the dishwasher - I cannot open it without him climbing in. He also graduated to sitting in the cart.

Someone is learning to stand up by himself! 95% of the time he starts laughing and falls down.
And he is walking using his walker! 7 months!!!

This girl has her very own style.
And then the rain storms kept coming. Another flash rain storm and it was pretty sketchy driving home from the storm!
Excuse Laylah, she was cold so she had her hands in her shirt. But again with the baby's face. Too cute.

Dentist, Dates and Fun times

September 2013' (first week)

Poor little Laylah had to have most of her mouth worked on. She was so brave and did great! They had to put her under to do all the work. Kyle took her in first to get all set up. I was feeding a baby, but I'm so glad I wasn't there, I don't think I would have liked to see that!
We didn't see her at all when they were doing the work. We just had updates. Then they told us she was done. This is how we found her, sound asleep. But hooked up to monitors. We eventually tried to help her wake up because she didn't seem like she was too interested in that.

She was so funny and totally seemed like she was drunk. We couldn't take her home until she swallowed some popsicle. All she could talk about were her two chubby cheeks. Ha ha

The boys didn't seem to mind the long wait. The dentist office is amazing! I took pictures because it would be fun to recreate something like that someday.

Back to real life! We went on a date with Sara, Jeff, Corinne and Craig downtown. We always have so much fun together.

His mustache binky is the best and loved by all - including all the people I don't know who come and comment on it. Thanks Auntie Dan Dan

Definitely a favorite around our house is science time. They take it very seriously. I had so many great shots of Laylah that I couldn't help but share them all!

Meanwhile... this little one is starting to make trouble! 7 Months old

Kalel started taking Parkour. He of course loves it.

Kyle put Kalel in the garbage can (you don't mess with Dad ;) Don't worry it was clean and they both thought it was hilarious.

A favorite Sunday activity is letting them wash our feet and put lotion on them. It takes time and they are happy while we do other things!
This boy is so incredibly helpful! I'm so happy he is the first born. He loves Dash so much.
And he just carts him around.  He is super helpful and capable!

Kyle was on a softball team this season. We actually enjoyed our evenings under the lights. And sometimes we would have to bring our dinner with us. Homemade pizza - yum!
Sleepin' tired after swimming with the ward.

One of my all time favorite things is having a baby sleep on my chest. I just love love them.

Practicing our letters and numbers on the table.
Seriously! How does this happen multiple times??? Sick sick sick. Oh the joys of motherhood!
