Beautiful Fall

We love the beautiful fall weather! We went for a drive up the canyon to see the incredible colors. This tree looked like it was on fire!

Leilani took the kids for a ride in the wagon. They loved it. They have so much fun together and love their auntie Lani. :)
Busted... Jason & Kalel were missing and too quiet. I found them in the laundry room, sharing a stool & eating apples. So cute.

Grand Opening!

My sister & brother-in-law have opened a new store in South Town Mall. (in Sandy, UT) Corinne designs incredibly cute clothes & now they have a store! They also have a kiosk in Fashion Place Mall for the holiday season. Today is their GRAND OPENING! They will be open from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm. Come check it out. They will have specials all week. Plus - for every item you purchase they will donate an article of clothing to a child in need. So you can feel good about your purchase! And they are manufactured locally in Utah! Here are a couple of pictures...

From long to short...

My hair was driving me crazy. I went too long before getting it cut and decided to chop it! Here are some before (I don't usually look like that, it was air / wind dried etc. but you get the idea) and after. Yes that is all my hair on the floor, gross. I am just blessed with thick hair! And it gets even thicker while pregnant.

My fears of being a mother of a boy!

I have always been nervous I would have a boy who is fearless & is always doing things that scare me. Go figure I have a son just like my husband :)

What happens when you drive your car down this?
The tire will stop when it hits the drain, and you will fly face first into the cement wall. :(
And end up with a fat lip, bloody nose etc. He is tough and right now as he is looking at this telling me - woah Blood! Thank goodness for a mother-in-law who makes the best herbal remedies. He healed quickly.

Our New House

After we finished our adventures this summer living across the country, we decided to move back to Utah county. We were blessed to find an amazing deal to rent a home in Spanish Fork. We love it here! And the best part is our huge yard! Kalel is in and out all day long. Which is also wonderful for me. :) I really enjoy living in SF. It is still pretty small - which I like, it's only 5 min from Kyle's family & not too far from my family.

Kalel's shorts were wet (that's what happens when you get in the pool with them on...) so he took them off and played in the sand. He had a long bath!
Playing in the pool, with the neighbor and their trains.
My first purchase for the yard... a pool!

Hiking the Grotto

We spent Memorial Day weekend with the Roberts family. We spent a lot of time together, hiked the grotto, and got together for a delicious breakfast the next morning. It was very pretty & lots of fun. We love being so close to family again. :)

In the top-middle picture you can see the mud all over Kalel's shorts.

Back to the Farm!

We were finally able to go back to the farm & see the Roberts clan. That night we spent time catching up with family, pulled out the ukuleles and sang out on the porch....
and reunited with cousins. We love our families!

River 2009'

At the end of the summer - Kind of spur of the moment we decided to pack up and drive back to Utah! We left Iowa around 5 am and arrived at my parents house around 2:00 am! Yes it was nuts but it went surprisingly well. I told Kyle there was no way we could drive straight through but I was willing to go as far as I could handle. It actually went by pretty fast and Kalel was doing great, so we just kept going until we made it to my parents house. We snuck into my parents house and went to bed downstairs and surprised them in the morning. It was fun! My Dad saw our car before we woke up when he went out to get his paper, but I definitely shocked them with my pregnant belly! My Mom's face was the best. We spent the next few days looking for a place to live, then we headed off to Idaho for our annual trip to the cabin. It was fabulous & gorgeous as always!

Daddy took us for a boat ride.
Happy birthday Papa Don, we love you!
Danielle fell through this chair! Nothing to do with her, Really, just an old chair!
Our little family enjoying a camp fire.
Cheese :) We love bonfires...
and SMORES!
Helping Daddy start the fire. I love how big his cheeks get. :)
Here are pictures from our visit to Bear Discovery in Yellowstone. The bottom middle picture is of a moose we saw outside our cabin.
We went for a float down the snake river. Kalel cuddled up to Kyle and then leaned his head back & he was out. It was so funny.
