Family Picture Time - Overload

It's all fun and games until  -

the silly putty gets in your hair on picture day :(

I tried and tried to pull it out until the last of it ended up needed scissors. What a great way to start picture day!
Kalel really wanted to take pictures like Auntie Leilani so these were taken by him on my phone.
 Pretty good, huh?
Love this sweet boy of mine.
This one was a little tired after we were done.

And here is Leilani's work. She got some great shots! Unfortunately there wasn't one great one of all my kids! Which I was really hoping for to finish my collage on my wall. But here are some of my favorites (ya, there are a lot...)

 One of my favorites!!

I LOVE this man of mine.

These cute people are my whole life.

Goodbye, cousins and dentist

Ty and Leilani accepted a position in Hawaii! So it was only fitting that a luau was thrown to say goodbye.
Complete with dancing and some singing. Always my favorite.

I love when I get to watch this talented family dance.

Always a favorite is the fire knife.
The kids did took over the dance floor when all was done.

 Aviana liked Dash's head :)
 Still loving our sand box!
Laylah was complaining about her shorts again... She was wearing Dash's again! Silly girl.

I got to have these cute kids have a sleepover at my house. We got shaved ice and compared tongues.

Then we went to the splash pad.
Lots of fun jumping through the water.
Dash has mastered using rolling  / scooting to get places. And sometimes he gets stuck...
He also learned how to crawl out of his bumbo. Oh boy! Here we go.

Poor little sis'. We have a mini 'crock pot' thing that we keep potpourri in. Well, Laylah knocked it over and the liquid burned her cute little arm. After we took care of it, she was all smiles. And I took pictures to document the healing that happened in just one day using our famous 'green stuff'.
Sleeping on a board. He does have a bed but this is much cooler apparently. And it's also too hot for a shirt.
Kalel's turn at the dentist. He had a cleaning and of course a mouth full of cavities. We took care of the most pressing ones first. Including a couple root canals. Seriously!? Me who has never had a cavity and then my kids mouths are filled. My dentist did say both of them, mostly Laylah had problems where their enamel didn't finish forming, leaving their teeth unprotected.
He was not happy about the numbing in his cheek. He kept hitting it. But whenever he did smile, it cracked me up.

July 24th weekend

One of my favorite moments as a mother was at Laylah's dance recital.
She was full of pure joy!
Big fat smile the entire time!
Even when she fell flat on her bum! Ha, she just kept smiling and jumped back up.
Then she melted our hearts as the little girl next to her started to cry because she was scared to perform. Laylah stopped dancing, looked at her, talked to her and then held her hand for the rest of the dance. I was seriously melting. Cutest thing ever!!
Miss Danielle, Amelia, Laylah, ?, Sophie and Penny

After the performance the cousins, Sara and Grandma and I went to the carnival. The kids loved all the rides.
The next morning I braved the second half of the parade with the kids. Laylah was so excited to see the princesses! She stood on top of the car and waved. She was pretty bummed when they didn't see her.
Later that day we met up at Corinne and Craig's. Kyle brought the slip n slide. Everyone had chanced getting sprayed..

Fun had by all, especially when Kyle brought out the baby oil to try and slide farther...

We had our own little firework show.

Cute Liam finally mastered a front flip!
 Such a great weekend.
