Don & Susie Wright Family Vacation Part 1

One of my favorite times of the year - every year is the annual week long trip to the cabin.

Don & Susie Family Vacation 2013
*Grizwalding Encouraged

Friday: Drive, drive and drive some more. Window markers were a really fun addition this trip. I couldn't help but laugh at our carvaning situation. Reminded me of a Grizwald trip. 2 mini vans, I suburban and a trailer.

Saturday:
Kyle and I got to escape while Dash was sleeping and go on a little ride on the hornet (dune buggy). Well that didn't last too long before the battery died. So what did we do while waiting for our help? Kyle found a stick, fixed it up and said, "pitch me some pinecones." :)
Sunday:  Beautiful relaxing day. I loved these cute girls matching and ready for church.
Boys will be boys. They had way too much fun with this super powerful water balloon launcher. Shooting them across the river, making bets (which Isaac won by the way!), aiming up and hoping to come down on us and occasionally letting kids try.

Sunday night however was an amazing 'fireside'. We came together as a family talked about things we learned this past year, our goals, desires etc. How we can help eachother, how we need help and what we want our family relationships to look like. Such an amazing night. I love my family.

Monday: The famous river float which was flipped upside down since Kyle came around :) That's about when my parents stopped coming... jk... kinda
Some of the kids did a little bridge jumping before while we loaded up the boats. It took Kalel a few minutes to brave up, but he did it.
Starts out nice and calm. Everyone in their boats hanging out. And yes I brought my 5 month old nursing baby. He sat in the bumbo for a bit and fell asleep with my after that. He did awesome.
We pulled over for some rope swinging time. Always freezing, but always so much fun! Here is Isaac, Jeff, Kalle being thrown in, Chris and Kyle.
Sara supported by holding the baby so she would be protected :) Tara, Danielle and I jumped in though.
Our next stop was to play on this sand bar while Kyle...
Challenged any who dare join him in a mud fight. It was so funny seeing the boys be boys. Throwing mud, tackling etc.

Too cool for school
Monday night we went into West Yellowstone. Had fun checking things out. Of course went to the Dollar Store with money from Grandpa Don and to the Playmill. This year we saw Beauty & the Beast.  The girls loved meeting Belle afterwards.

She was the only one to go see her without support from cousins. She loves Belle.
