2012 was such a great year for us. A few highlights:
- We have loved being in the home we are in. (I have loved slowly but surely decorating it!)
- We have loved staying home this summer.
- Planting a garden
- Finding out we are having another little one
- Kyle loves working with Persnickety Clothing
- Kalel loves school once a week
- Watching Laylah's personality blossom
- The interesting / hard experiences when Kyle ran for State Representative
- Fun vacations - California & Idaho
- Just being a family and loving it!
He usually wears one of Kyle's shirts to bed and is always pulling it down over his shoulders. Crazy kid.
Christmas Eve afternoon... Kyle dropped me off to help get things ready with my Mom and he took the kids to sled. They LOVED every minute of it. I was a little worried about Laylah getting cold but after watching the videos I was sad I wasn't there to see how much fun they had.
She started out going down with Dad, and was still smiling when the snow was on her face. Then she started to go by herself. She would 'pump' and push herself off, about halfway down she would lay down on her back, so cute. They loved racing.
We didn't have her snow clothes at Papa and Tutu's so Kyle improvised and put her legs in the arms of one of his Mom's jackets, zipped it up and then we tied the arms around her body to keep it on... She wasn't impressed with our inovativness. But hey, throw on a coat and boots and it worked great! She still loves to sit on my shoulders and play with my hair. Definitely not very attractive of me but hey.. I'm pregnant and she pulled out my hair ;)
We had a BLAST at the Persnickety Christmas ParTaY. Seriously though, HILARIOUS! We (mostly Kyle) planned Minute to Win it games again this year and they were a hit. Including: Drawing a specific picture on a plate on top of your head while you're opening starburst in your mouth. Catching chopsticks, pulling out tissue paper, grape stuffing contest, oreo contest and of course a highlight when Melissa rocked it with her dance moves. Good times.
And the FOOD! Wow, never have you seen such a spread. There is some serious talent in this company. Yummy.
